Diabetic Foot Management Center of MI

Dr. Susan, as her patients call her,was raised in Rochester Michigan north of Detroit.  Undergraduate studies were performed at Grand Valley State University and podiatric medical education was completed at the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Sciences, the College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery in 1989.  She became board certified in 2000 by the National Alliance of Wound care and then again in May 2008 with the American Professional Wound care Association.

She has been in practice since October 1, 1990 in Muskegon.  Her previous practice location was on Oak Ave behind Mercy General Hospital Oak campus. In 2000, she move to her present location at 1281 E Sherman Blvd. where she practices today.

Her mission statement can be summarized in one sentence:  Don't let Diabetes Defeet us.  The management of the diabetic foot requires more than one specialist and a primary care provider.  Dr. Susan works closlely with the primary care physicians with referrals to other key specialists such as vascuar surgery, orthopedics, plastic surgery, and endocrinology

 Laugther is good for the soul so here at the diabetic foot management center you may hear gaiety among the staff.  Most diabetics with or without foot infections are concerned about losing a limb. We are here to help reduce that concern and when necessary, help through such a tragic event.  When diabetes does not defeet us, we all something to sing about.

Who We Are

Dr. Susan has a very busy clinic and has a very supportive staff to help her complete the task.  We have one administrative Assistant, Suzanne, who single handedly "drives" the front desk every single day.  A podiatry assistant, Darci, of 20 years experience with a never ending smile.  An LPN, Barb,  whose vast experience includes podiatry, internal medicine and geriatrics, just to name a few.  And no one can forget, Ranae, a powerhouse medical assistant who helps to keep the doctor "moving."
